The Y&F 8641 Series Integrated Natural Gas Fuel Control Valve Assembly
is a balanced double-poppet flow control valve for gas turbine fuel
control. With a known Cv curve, it can be operated via closed-loop
position control by any modern turbine controller. Additionally, with a
specially programmed Y&F 1100 Series Motor Controller, the 8641 is a
retrofit replacement for the Y&F 7-5078 Hydraulic Actuator, loader and
butterfly valve fuel control system on several Solar gas turbines
(including Centaur, Taurus, and Mars). In this application there is no need
to upgrade turbine controls; the Y&F system regulates flow based
directly on the Compressor DIscharge Pressure and Setpoint signals.
