Residual molasses describes the sugarless fraction. • Vinasse: Molasses slop; residue from molasses production through the fermentation industry. • PNC (potato nitrogen concentrate): nitrogen-rich by-product of potato starch extraction. • CSL (corn steep liquor): By-product which accrues as a mineral-rich suspension during maize starch production.
